Burgess Meredith resting on the set of Twilight Zone (1959)

There was supposed to be time!

That's ok, I know Braille.

'Time Enough At Last' is easily my favorite episode of The Twilight Zone.

"Seconds, minutes, hours, they crawl by on hands and knees for Mr. Henry Bemis, who looks for a spark in the ashes of a dead world. A telephone connected to nothingness, a neighborhood bar, a movie, a baseball diamond, a hardware store, the mailbox that was once his house and now is rubble; they lie at his feet as battered monuments to what was but is no more."

Great Scott! It's that dastardly Penguin! It's been so long since I've seen this, I didn't realize that was Burgess Meredith.

Did you know he was also Rocky Balboas coach?

Nope! Although, "Rocky" is still on my to-watch list.

This was the first episode of The Twilight Zone I ever saw, as a young glasses wearer it was straight up fucking nightmare fuel.

the first one i saw was technically not an actual episode but an Ambrose Bierce adaptation back in school (i blame it for my interest in literary analysis) and then the movie. Our local channel used to run the 80s revival a lot and it was an evening ritual for a bit. It took me years to actually get around and watch through the OG series but it is one of the smoothest watches i ever had - probably the only long-running series i can recall having no obvious duds.

The older I get, the more I understand this guy. I just want to read books in peace.

facts

Definitely one of the best episodes. I also wear glasses. I've looked into Lasix, however, it wouldn't fix my Left "lazy" eye. And no one that I've talked with will do just my Right eye.

TZ is one of few series with so many hitters but that is permanent top 10 no matter what

That is such a cool picture! Thanks,

gotta find more TZ pics

Nice glasses.

Finally stapler, time for Us.
