I know it's an unpopular opinion but what's the point? They're obviously not talking regularly and people get avalanched by congratulations due to social networks reminders, so would it mean anything?

I got 1 friend like this right now and the same birthday! Funny enough the day is the only reason why i remember it. In 2006 his birthday was 06/06/06 which was amazing. Sadly we don't really talk much these days, but I do still remember to send him the birthday text and as someone else pointed out I do not get the same respect from them on mine.
That's me with my half my siblings. And yet, I still forget to text them on their birthday even though the last text message was on their birthday.
