More Tube tunnels switch on mobile coverage as rollout passes 60%

Great, so no more peaceful tube rides if people can do their FaceTime calls on the tube now.

Since when has the tube ever been peaceful? Many sections are so loud it’s practically deafening.

I very much prefer that to people doing all their social interactions on public transport so they don't have to call these people while at home.

It's bad enough with the idiots on the buses playing tiktok and AI slop videos out loud because heaven forbid they buy a cheap pair of earphones from poundland.

Lack off mobile coverage was a huge shock to me when visiting London for work about a decade ago, this happened in that golden window when EU shutdown roaming fees and before Brexit.

So I would blast mobile data all day, and just grind to a halt in the tube.
