How Shahed Drone May Have Brought Down an AH-64 Apache in One of the First Such Cases Ever Recorded | Defense Express

I think it is possible also that the Corsair vessel that rescued the helicopter pilots was able to do so more easily because of the capacity of AH64e helicopters to directly interface with drones.

Certainly it is easy to imagine integrating an automatic emergency response system that would activate on the AH64 if it was going down and instruct nearby USVs to navigate to the last known location of the helicopter and search for the crew.

This is how drones change warfare, not by making humans obsolete but by being integrated with mobile manned armored and armed command centers that shepherd swarms of unmanned vehicles through hostile flashpoints.
