“BOTH towers??”

GaaaarFIELD!!!!

I'm sorry Jon

"They wouldn't give me the lasagna"

That kills people!

Oh, hey.

and the PENTAGON?

Jon Arbuckle is to blame for the deaths on 9/11, since he was told of the plans the day before and did nothing to stop it.

Would anyone believe a guy like Jon Arbuckle though?

Good point. "My cat has a plan to fly planes into the World Trade Center tomorrow!"

Contrast this with the Heathcliff comics, which show that rascal making a garbage smorgasbord by rolling the can like a lumberjack on a floating log, whereas in Garfield the transgression of the cat is left to the imagination of the reader. The effect Jim Davis creates is therefore a more sophisticated one, as in certain horror films where less of the monster is shown — sometimes not at all! The monster in the viewers imagination is far more frightening than any rubber suit the film maker could concoct. Indeed many scholars have attributed principles such as this to the enduring legacy of Garf

The only time I've ever had a dream where I could read I was presented with a massive tome, "The Art and Philosophy of Garfield". I flipped open to a random page, chapter opening entitled "Moving Away from Form and Meaning", an exploration of Garfield's defining features and how far they could be distorted or diluted before becoming unrecognizable. The title page had an image of a pattern of black and orange similar to Garfield's but in a distinctly un-cat-like shape, with a speech bubble that contained just the word(s)(?)

"THISTLETHISTLETHISTLEBRRRBROWL".

I don't have a fucking clue what my subconscious was trying to say with that one.

Do you happen to remember what you ate before going to bed that night?

Not really, but it was probably a mix of salad greens and chicken tenders, maybe some breadsticks and marinara. Working at Olive Garden at the time, made very little money but only had to buy groceries to entertain guests.

This is absolutely amazing both in content and as an illustration of how Garfield touches us all

I assume that's an extract from this incredibly compelling manifesto:

How the fuck have I never seen this? BRB going to make this a problem for everyone I love

You have to watch it in it's entirety first.

You can't just send this to people without being prepared for answering why Jon has an aristocratic grip on the newspaper.

No I'm going to invite them over to dinner and put it on for everyone

Clearly this man is a deep thinking guy, perhaps one of the eminent scholars who is an expert to boot. Thank you, fellow traveller!

Once you take the leap of faith and accept that a housecat can have opinions about days of the working week, anything can follow.

"I believe because it is absurd"

Not the best words to LIVE by, but is likely the basis for some EXCELLENT achievements in fiction and performance arts 😁

So we know that Garfield and Kermit were involved in the conspiracy to cause 9/11. Who else is in the Axis of Evil?

So you could say he kermitted an atrocity?

Then there's only one thing for it.

Had to read the comments to see what this was about. Nature is healing.
