The only time anyone has surfed through a drainage ditch into the back of a convertible ever captured to film. This is a classic.
it's basically a Metal Gear Solid movie too.
Escape from New York is what people expect MGS to be, and Escape from LA is what it actually is.
yeah. Escape from LA is basically MGS2 in a sense that it is a rethread of NY but everything is wackier and there's meta stuff going.
Do you think love can bloom even on the battlefield?
Laugh, and grow fat!
Well, there is indeed the fact that Solid Snake gives his false name to Raiden in MGS2 as "Iroquois Plissken" and his face is explicitly based on Kurt Russel's up to and eventually including the eye patch he wears in the movie. It's safe to say that Hideo Kojima was heavily inspired by this movie.
Funnily enough when the studio was pushing Carpenter to sue Kojima - our man John straight up refused because he's boys with Hideo. And we need John Carpenter in Death Stranding 3 being some moviemusiccomposerman with his questline being a trip down Carpenter nerdom.
I am a big John Carpenter fan but this movie had to grow on me. I did not like it when I first saw it.
it was one of my favorite films growing up because it was one of the few movies we had on VHS with no overdub (the other two were Alien and Tremors) - so it always felt to me like a real movie and not a half measure of dubbed film you can't really immerse into.
Critic reviews would have you believe this is a bad film. They are wrong.
this movie is fucking awesome. it's one of the most negative fucks movie ever - it is kinda impressive
Now we need (really, really need) Snake Plissken: Cleveland.
we need open world Snake game in which the end goal is to escape Earth. and then DLC in which he fights with some zombies from Mars
Welcome to the human race.
underrated White Zombie's last hurrah
