Did you angst for ages while working out how to crop the photo? I'm sure your original will have had all the sand/sea boundary (now cropped on the middle of the right side), but then you'd want that boundary hitting the bottom left corner, the spit of land ending broadly central, and the house having a decent size in proportion to the whole and around that angle :) Or perhaps angsting over the framing with the camera.

The photo is perhaps darker than ideal, though I can see the sky is solid cloud, so that might be "right". Getting a bit more "texture" in the clouds might help.

Still, a good solid record of a good sight.

Just cropped a bit of excess sky off the top. I thought of lightening it, but the photo captured the feel of that cloudy day pretty well so I didn't do any adjustments on the light or color.

Thank you :)

I like all the colours! The house, the trees, the sand, the sky and water. It would've been nice if the curved edge between sand and water would've been in the frame all the way, though maybe that wasn't possible because of distractions in the shot? Either way it's a nice picture

Beautiful. I'll be in Grand Marais next week. I'll have to take plenty of photos.

Nice I've always wanted to get up to that part of Minnesota, enjoy

Huh, didn't know MN had one too. I meant MI.
