Le Chemin de fer

Literally, "the way of iron," or "the iron way."

Quaint!

It means railroad. The girl is watching the trains.

I know what it means. My point is that literally the words mean one thing, and figuratively they mean another, just like lots of other expressions and definitions.

What can I say? I enjoy the process of such things...
