Nothing more panic inducing than waking up with no alarm and feeling amazing

It's tragic honestly

And it's the weekend so you wake up in a panic for nothing

The other day I had that thing where you wake up feeling great, realise there's still 45 mins to go until your alarm goes off, go back to sleep, wake up to alarm and feel shit all day.

Correct me if I am wrong. I remember some video someone showed me that rhythm is actually more important than pure 'time spent asleep'.

So if you are in a light phase, and something wakes you out of your general routine, then you 'randomly' wake up but its much easier since you were already quite awake.

Contrary to waking up in 'deep sleep' rem, which will make you feel absolutely shit. I think a phase is 40-45 minutes ?

I at some point used a cracked version of 'sleep like android' or 'sleep cycle' and that helped immensly

My sleep cycle seems to have shifted and placed a REM cycle directly when my alarm goes off. So I wake up from wacky stress dreams amevery morning, disoriented as fuck, had trudging through work on a half-finished REM cycle. Another 30 mins and I'd be golden.

Hmmmm... That's been happening to me lately too, actually. Sounds like I got some reading to do. Ideally, I should be using an alarm as a final fall back, but this hasn't been a habit for many, many years. My biggest mistake the other night was seeing sleep as a high value thing to get instead of just getting up when my body was actually ready to.
