US Army Writes Off $1.8 Billion in IVAS Headsets Due to Defects

During demonstration exercises, soldiers wearing the devices showed worse shooting results than with their standard equipment. Soldiers complained of disorientation, nausea, severe eye and neck strain, as well as constant headaches, due to the weight of the device on their helmets.

I know we have all forgotten about the stupid VR hype that happened in the US economy for a hot second and burned billions of dollars, but this is the tail end of it still wrecking economic havoc on the US.

Imagine how bad the tail end of all this AI bullshit is going to look as it careens through the US military enshittifying it and raising costs in bullshit ways we can't even begin to fathom?
