At CANSEC 2026 in Ottawa, Canada unveiled a new self-propelled howitzer and described its artillery module as "combat-proven." That phrase did a lot of work in two words.
The only place that module could have seen combat is Ukraine. Germany "formally handed over" the first of 54 RCH 155 systems in January 2025, but the systems stayed in Germany. Then the Ukrainian systems went completely quiet. No photos, no footage, no OSINT trail. Just silence, 600 trained Ukrainian operators, and a marketing department in Canada that may have said more than it meant to.
