Silent Deployment: Did the RCH 155 just see combat in Ukraine? | Wes O'Donnell - Youtube (Invidious link)
2d 4h ago by sopuli.xyz/u/supersquirrel in ukraine@sopuli.xyz from inv.nadeko.netAt CANSEC 2026 in Ottawa, Canada unveiled a new self-propelled howitzer and described its artillery module as "combat-proven." That phrase did a lot of work in two words.
The only place that module could have seen combat is Ukraine. Germany "formally handed over" the first of 54 RCH 155 systems in January 2025, but the systems stayed in Germany. Then the Ukrainian systems went completely quiet. No photos, no footage, no OSINT trail. Just silence, 600 trained Ukrainian operators, and a marketing department in Canada that may have said more than it meant to.
In this video: Canada's Grizzly LAV, what makes the RCH 155's fire-on-the-move capability a structural shift in the counterbattery survival equation, why one phrase in a trade show press release is the strongest signal yet the RCH-155 system is already in Ukraine, and why whatever Ukraine proves or disproves about this doctrine will matter for every NATO army now ordering the same platform.
I know I posted a video from this guy recently and he can be a bit silly, but he is doing good coverage of very serious stuff here.
A gun in a storage is safe but that's not what guns are built for.
