Most of these fall into the category of "fuck you, there's no serious competition to the biggest provider, after the merger was approved".
Plus some fuckery by Trump and Republicans. Things like medicine are getting hit hard due to the US government not caring to fund things anymore.

Not much of this has to do with AI. 5g rollout slowdown as it became apparent that we weren't replacing wired Internet with wireless is an old story. US government cuts and the suspension of research grants is also pretty well shown, and cutting 30 jobs at some pharma company ain't something I'm breathless about. Logistics chain restructuring as a result of Amazon increasing it's vertical integration to strengthen it's monopoly to screw people over is also pretty old news.
Yes I thought that for the first option, aerospace, tbh. Economy has crashed/slowed in ways unrelated to AI. For a few years I've felt like aerospace was growing too fast and due to shrink.
Federal civil service - while AI is the excuse for downsizing this, we know it's mainly just because Trump's administration believes in reducing bureaucracy to the point of its collapse.
