I made this just to prove you were just making fun of him for being fat.
The truth emerges. It's not gender, it's the volume that matters.
Is it the volume or the mass that matters? What if someone was wearing an inflatable suit and then overalls on top of the inflatable suit?
I can't speak to the inflatable part, but people in fat suits that weigh little, they still look fat.

This might sound ridiculous but I recommend watching with subtitles on. The accents are strong and the dialog is quick.
Almost every form of video media is improved by having subtitles on, regardless of how discernible the dialog is. There are exceptions, mostly due to bad subtitling, but it's nigh universally true.

Don't spread classist propaganda. Overalls are sturdy trousers for heavy work. The one on the top's job is to look pretty. The one on the bottom does some hard, manual labour in these clothes.
I'm not saying one's better than the other. Just that these people are graded on the same scale thah different jobs don't satisfy.
Interesting take. I didn't see this as classist. I saw this as attractiveness preference. OP is only attracted to people in overalls if they have big manly hands that they use to save you or feed you.

dictionary is generally very slow to update definitions like that... a general web search will give you a more accurate idea...
Granted, the "overall" search also gave me at least some of those trousers, but generally it seemed to favour the distinction.
It's almost like there are different versions of the English language, and search engines are designed to give you results that favor your region/version.

Both are correct, but I would add that the word dungarees is effectively non-existent in American English, maybe 1 in 100 people would know what you are talking about off you used that word here. And coveralls are the only word we would use to describe what you call overalls. And the only word we use for what you call dungarees is overalls.

Well there was Lawnmower Man which featured a pretty hot dude in just overalls, although, he had the mind of a child, so as a child myself I had a confused boner over that. But otherwise yeah, even the gays can't make overalls hot.

In the original short story, I believe the dude was more like the one in the image posted here. The movie was so unrelated to the short story it was almost impressive.

Definitely for a time in '80s kids wear. I did see adults then (and more recently) wearing them. But mostly farmers and mechanics. Not sure if it were ever adult fashion back then
Not for men. It was in fashion for young women and kids only.
That big front pocket on the other hand is very nice. I really liked the practicality when I had it as work uniform.
Anybody wearing overalls looks stupid to me, exceptions are if it's part of a work uniform
