M.U.L.E. a 1983 strategy video game

One of the greatest 8-bit games ever, completely unique, charming and satisfying to play. I haven't checked out the unofficial, fan-made sequels for a long time now, and that needs to be fixed, stat.
Fun fact: the in-game "wampus" one could sometimes catch for bonus cash was loosely based on a classic 1973 text-based computer game. It was a pretty dry game originally, appealing only to logicians and some puzzle fans, but was recently ported in to an absolute GEM of a video game.

Purple Flapper is still stuck in my head for some reason.
Maybe the best theme song from early computing, too. That C64 sound chip was something special.
