I mulched my beets and string beans today

I had to water my planters due to the mere sprinkle of rain last night. So I took the time to much between the rows of my string beans and beets.
Might want to buy a new mulcher. It looks like your vegetable plants are still in one piece.
We still have high hopes for glorious failure!
Didn't mulch the beets enough - they're still alive.
What, and deprive all the deer from those sweet tender vegetables?
