I'm hoping they have a larger team working on another title, or an expansion that updates the foundations of the game. Its clear they're struggling to work with the limitations of the current server seup and game engine.
Yeah I have to agree. I loved the game when I dropped a few thousand hours into it, but Oddessy felt a bit underwhelming (especially when it came to VR) and things just feel meh.
I really hope operations is good. But the performance of the trailer gameplay has me worried.
Heh, at least half (generously) of everything Frontier has dropped has been a trainwreck on day one, since day one. My standard MO is to pause playing for a week on a major drop, unless there's something urgent, expect server outages and other chaos. They usually get it together in a reasonable timeframe (usually, looking at you OG Powerplay).
On the flip side they've truly kept adding, for free (mostly), to the bare bones that they started with, GG Frontier.
