After Collins Says 'I Do Not Regret' Kavanaugh Vote That Led to Roe Reversal, Platner Responds: 'You Should' | Common Dreams

Lauren French of the Senate Majority PAC, a political action committee dedicated to electing a Democratic majority in the chamber, said: “Unsurprising. Collins’ abysmal abortion record goes far beyond Kavanaugh and Roe.”

“She voted to confirm at least 19 anti-abortion Cabinet nominees and 43 anti-abortion federal judges, including nominees who explicitly support fetal personhood and called birth control ‘abortifacients,’” French highlighted. “And just days after the Dobbs draft leak, Collins cast the deciding vote against the Women’s Health Protection Act—a bill that would have codified Roe into law.”

Susan Collins succinctly embodies everything I hate about the US.

And, she's not the only one, or even the worst, by far. 🤢

Buuuuut tattoo man! Tattoo man a Nazi. Everyone knows the skull and crossbones is a Nazi symbol. Everyone remembers Nazis of the Caribbean.

Hopefully Collins is the first of many to go. But it's still frustrating to see all the bad faith accusations, outright ignorance and propaganda being thrown at her opponent. To be clear the senate needs to be abolished. But Platner taking her seat wouldn't be a bad thing. She certainly hasn't deserved it.

True, I meant it more like if I was making another Veep I would cast Susan Collins to act in it as the character meant to represent the most banally evil extent of the system being critiqued.

Eh, put 'em all in the same human costume, let them fight it out.
