He’s right you know. Sucking up to Trump is the most pragmatic way to get results. It won’t matter in the long run, because either Trump will have forgotten or the new administration understands that what had to be done, had to be done. That doesn’t mean Macron means an iota of what he says to Trump or does in Versailles. It’s a means to an end. Unfortunately that is the state of politics right now, and Macron is playing it well.
