I think it’s made with walnut and finished with walnut oil. Started with a blank I bought from flexcut

Sort of. I started with a blank. So something that has the general outline of a spoon.

How did you make the concave portion? Was it hand carved?
The are rounded carving knives that look kinda like a U where the bottom of the U is sharp. Sometimes people even call them spoon carving knives, since they are often used for this exact purpose.
