From what I've seen about the status of the war in Ukraine, the russians have been pushing in some important areas, so I wouldn't be surprised if what happens is a sudden collapse of the front lol

i didn't see anyone make this point, but i think that the ukraine failure is one the motivators for this operation, seeing that nato is depleted and usa is going through a crises, im pretty sure they felt emboldened to launch this massive operation because is unlikely that usa can send that much help

So I was talking to someone about armadillos the other day, and the most common, the 9 banded armadillo has the strangest defence mechanism, despite being armored and protected from almost every conceivable threat everywhere but its belly, when scarred it jumps 3 feet into the air, exposing its soft underbelly. I am still trying to find out how this has any use, other than to confound the opponent.

There have been many times in my life I have felt rage at my uselessness and powerlessness to do anything about something major happening. But not quite like this one. I can't stop checking the news and usually I don't care to receive news a day or two late. I wish I could be there.

Wouldn't be surprised if the US uses all this to block Chinese ships coming up the Red Sea, trying to weaken and provoke China before the BRI is quite ready to properly supplement the sea trade with overland trade.
