Many people have clarity over what's going on, the hard part is dodging and outsmarting human trash like Piers while still making use of their platform to spread the truth and counteract their propaganda.
That's the really hard part and the reason why I respect him immensely for this.
I've actually gained a bit of respect for Piers the last 3 days. Not a lot, only a little.. but consider how he just had on 3 pro-Palestinian voices 3 nights in a row. First, he had on Mohammed Hijab. I watched the interview and he railroaded the guy. Mohammed simply wasn't equipped to talk to someone like Piers.
The next night, he had on Bassem Youssef. I had never heard of this guy before, but he absolutely killed it. It really goes to show how sarcasm can be effective at cutting through the propaganda and striking right at the heart of the matter. I think Piers was caught off guard, his typical railroading which worked very well the night before was not as effective.
Then the next night, he had on the Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, Husam Zomlot, who held a much more serious conversation. I think Husam did a much better job than Mohammed, which makes sense. Husam is older and has been the ambassador for 5 years. He understands the pitfalls of many of these types of interviews.
So - why did I gain respect for Piers? Well, he's not scared to have on explicitly pro-Palestinian voices and let them talk for the majority of the interview. Sure, he asks loaded and leading question - "Do you condemn the attacks on Oct 7th?" was asked early on in all interviews.
But I found it fascinating how both Bassem and Husam managed to turn the question around and use that as a way to expose the position of the Palestinians.
To summarize: The viral clips of Bassem Youssef would not have happened without Piers Morgan. If I were a conspiratorial type, I would say this is Pier's way of being Pro-Palestinian without actually having to publicly be Pro-Palestinian. People are getting cancelled in Europe right now as terrorist-supporters for posting things like "Free Palestine" on their social medias. If I were a cynical type, I would say Pier just knows that these interviews will get him a lot of views so that's why he had them on the show.
Regardless, I think the viral clips that have come out of these interviews have done a lot of good for spreading the Palestinian cause.
I think Piers Morgan is a self-aggrandizing, amoralist (slipping into unethical in a lot of his "journalism") twat. But he's also this. And your cynical view is the right answer and consistent with everything Piers Morgan has ever done. It's all about the views, but this time it actually created something productive and worth watching and sharing.
I think it's an interesting thing. Piers has had Andrew Tate on the show, which may in some ways legitimize Tate. He has also had these 3 Palestinians on his show. Which gives them a platform that reaches millions of people. I think ultimately the fact that he's willing to have controversial figures on his show is a good thing. While you're right - the likely reason for this is because it gets views - I think it's good to have dissenting voices be broadcast.
I think you could say similar things about Joe Rogan. While he's had on Alex Jones, he's also had on Edward Snowden and Abby Martin. Some might say it leads to this perception that "both sides" are equal, and I think that's a fair criticism. But I also think that people like Snowden and Abby Martin would otherwise have very little reach in mainstream media.
Having said all that, these are just ramblings and I don't watch either Piers Morgan or Joe Rogan regularly, generally just clips I see online here and there.
Dude's name is actually Mohammed Hijab?
That's like being named Joseph Yarmulke.
Very impressive that he managed to run rings around Piers Morgan on his own show and come out looking good. Railroading conversations is Piers Morgan's bread and butter.

I think you could have smalltalk about the weather with Piers Morgan on his own show and come out looking better than he is.
Hahaha true, but I more mean that him and his ilk tend to have a real slimy gift for interrupting and confusing people into looking stupid.
piers morgan has never denied he molests little children
Sarcasm shows its facility for stressing points once again... great.
