B.C. liquor laws need to keep up with the times, says brewery owner after closure of kids' play area

Old Yale Brewing's Little Explorers Corner, which included a small table and chairs, a books section and miniature cabin, was shut down by the B.C. Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch, who said the play area was advertising to children.

I don't have kids and like to go out for drinks and to restaurants. I'm seeing a rise of people bringing kids to fucking breweries, while the parents get loaded. If you're bringing children, go to McDonald's, that's your domain.

We don't need to become the freewheeling liquor-land that America can be but damn we do need to modernize some of these laws.

I think this is reasonable. Don't need children's play areas to leave kids while the adults drink. Who even thought this was appropriate?
