Ah great, just reached the acceptance stage of my cycle. Decided to browse Lemmy instead of quake and found this gem :)

A few years into my career I started identifying bugs that are too deeply rooted within the spaghetti. For those, I just skip to step 5 instantly. Not worth the 2 years worth of reduced life expectancy trying to fix this shit.
