I posted on like r/changemyview, and then took more than an hour to respond to the comments (because I actually have work/school) and they permabanned me for breaking the rules. That's just one instance though

Because Lemmy is just a microcosm of Reddit, and if you dare say anything negative about the platform, you'll get downvoted into oblivion

I mean I was born in 2006, and have only been on Reddit for a few months. The only reason I came here is because Reddit banned me, which is the same reason I suspect 99% of Lemmy users are here for. At the end of the day, I've just found that if I'm posting to vent or to ask a question, I'd rather get 100 responses in an hour than 1 response two days from now

Not like that. I'm talking about breaking some obscure, minor rule that the mods will insta ban you for

I exclusively use Lemmy to complain when my new Reddit account gets shadowbanned again. The issue is that the communities here simply are not big enough. I go on the Lemmy alternatives of the subreddits I visit often and there are like 4 posts over the course of multiple years

I've tried Tor and unfortunately I've found that out of all the methods, it unfortunately gets me banned instantaneously the most frequently. I'll definitely have to try Azire though, it has a free trial too

I mean I'm no VPN expert, I just know that it costs money so I assumed it was better than free ones

Why is this getting downvoted? Literally like half of the posts on here are about dodging permabans

How Reddit Became the Internet’s Most Left-Wing Platform

I don't think Reddit is either super left or right, it's just radical. Every opinion stated on the platform is always taken to the absolute extreme, but I would say only a select few popular subs like r/unpopularopinion tend to lean left, but then again I would even argue that they are more libertarian or anarchist if anything

I totally get that, honestly it's humiliating too. Any time I get permabanned from a subreddit for breaking some obscure, minor rule in one of my posts, I basically have to get on me knees and weep and suck the dick of the mods, because if I even lightly insinuate any sort of mistake or anything on their part, I'm told to fuck off and they keep my ban in place.

How do I dodge a permaban?
