The house price thing really depends how old you are. It's only when you're looking at downsizing that it helps you, otherwise it's either more expensive to upgrade, or purely theoretical wealth that doesn't help you.

Ultimately, we need to look at buying a house as locking in your cost of living, rather than an investment that only ever goes up.

It's really quite impressive how Labour continue to do the absolute bare minimum to be a functional party. We're finally getting a capital gains tax, at least a decade late, and that's the boldest policy they have.

Meanwhile, their coalition partners are downright liabilities.

Yeah, that fiance should be running for his life.

Given the effect a false conviction would have had on the driver's life, that absolutely should have been a jail sentence.

Possibly deported, depending on if they're an immigrant and how long they've been here.

Definitely would have permanently lost their ability to work in that industry.
