The End.

Well it's a chill piece of art at least. Thanks for sharing!

Is this the only new page added in the final volume?

Maybe Quackenbush's approach could've saved Valve some headaches along the way.

Oh so their suggestion is that Valve should have bowed to conservative censorship even earlier? What a waste of an article

Advice on card draw in Orzhov?

21d 15h ago in magictcg

Night's Whisper and/or Sign in Blood are almost always instant inclusions when I'm making an EDH deck with black. They're not really on theme, but don't underestimate how good turning 1 card into 2 is for just 2 mana. If you have good mana fixing you can also go for Insatiable Avarice which gives 3 cards for 3 and can tutor for extra mana. Cut a Deal and Secret Rendezvous are also quick card advantage but will even out with an opponent, though I think they work out in the user's favor. If you don't like that, Ancient Craving and Ambition's cost are only 1 more mana. Depending on how big your board gets, Minions' Murmurs can net you a lot of cards

Depending on how often you sacrifice creatures, Midnight Reaper or Morbid Opportunist might be worth it. I find Opportunist draws a lot more than you expect even with the once per turn limit since it triggers off your opponents as well. Welcoming Vampire and Enduring Innocence are also OPT but if you're playing/flickering small creatures a lot the cards will add up quickly.

People have already mentioned stuff like Deadly Dispute and Village Rites (both great) but since you're in Orzhov and seemingly fairly aggressive you have the chance to try Treacherous Greed, which I can't attest to personally but it seems like it could be worth testing

Billionaires are trying to lull us into AI complacency. Don’t let them

27d 11h ago in technology from www.theguardian.com

Yeah, they always talk about UBI as a pie in the sky fantasy. Anytime they bring it up the real question they should be asked is how are they working to expand the current systems of welfare such as Medicare or housing assistance. And murderers like Elon Musk that cut life-saving aid for millions of people should not even be part of the conversation

Well you could argue that Yugi's deck in the original series wasn't heroic either. He had cards like Summoned Skull and Mammoth Graveyard that were very much evil looking monsters. And continuing into GX Edo/Aster Phoenix who despite starting out as a rival he was never really bad and helps the good guys out several times, had D-Heroes including Plasma who is literally named after blood. Given that characters like Spawn and Edward Scissorhands were early inspirations for Takahashi, "looks scary but is good deep down" pops up every as a reoccurring element in the series even if some characters very obviously wear their evil on their sleeve.

My guess is that they chose it because they wanted to keep him as an intimidating rival, whose methods/goals aren't always clear. Him having a scary-looking deck adds to that mystique.

Gavin Newsom proposes a California digital software tax

Yeah, taxing the average consumer more but refusing to tax billionaires is regressive and dumb as hell. Newsom is a sellout

Banned and Restricted Announcement – May 18, 2026

To continue to improve the experience for all players, we are releasing our next iteration of Brawl matchmaking on Tuesday, May 19. This will be an experimental and major change to how Brawl matchmaking works so that it prioritizes finding opponents within similarly matched commander tiers disregarding the skill level of the opponent. We expect this change will increase the number of matches of similarly powered commanders while maintaining reasonable matchmaking times. With stricter commander-based matchmaking, we aim to pair players with similar expectations against each other and allow more space for experimentation. This is an intentional change to make unranked Brawl less competitively focused.

Interesting tidbit about Brawl, I always liked it for an easier buy-in via singleton and the ability to play Commanders I didn't want to commit to in paper, but there was a very wide range of power levels.
