That's such an interesting point. I believe that historically any intelligence that was much higher than the norm has tended to be perceived as "Godlike". That means this misconception potentially applies to us today as well (he walked on water therefore he is God etc.) or that the "God" that people believe in today is somehow above relativistic misconception. Personally I lean towards the former.

When my religious friends get a little too intense I tell em to go visit a terminal children's hospital ward. Don't give me any of that "works in mysterious ways" rubbish either. I'm not saying there isn't a higher intelligence than us somewhere, because that's unknowable in an infinite universe, but to then somehow pivot to thinking that intelligence would care about every little thing we do is beyond insane.

Oh my goodness, THIS, a million percent!! Also, you have to be ok with the event you plan being the reward in itself for you, because if you expect people to thank you... you're going to have a bad time. On top of that, you have to be ok with people expecting you to do it forever from that moment on. Basically, you're going to have to be quite emotionally and mentally robust to enjoy the experience 🤣

Just started playing it last week and the thing that really struck me so far is how well done the tutorials are. They're broken down into separate sections that form one continuous development sequence and you can stop and start anytime. Also, they give you the perfect amount of control in each tutorial without letting you derail the process (which I will do every time, given half a chance).

So far my favourite has been the Storage Management tutorial, because when it's over it doesn't pull you back out to the menus and you can just observe the crew of the two ships going about their business, click on all the equipment to see what it is and get a sense of good equipment placement for as long as you like.

I'm 3 hours in and still haven't left the tutorials yet but that's my issue cos I get overwhelmed really easily.

"I’m seeing a bunch of posts insinuating" - I think we're well past insinuating. Straight out declaring would be more accurate now. The man has no credibility left. No one trusts him with the truth, their money or their daughters. If I was a betting man I'd say his foreign handlers are already lining up the next candidate for the world stage. You can also tell, by the way, that none of the big media channels are buying it either. All you need to do is compare their coverage now with at the coverage of the assassination attempts of previous presidents. When Reagan got shot the whole world stopped to look. It was literally everywhere. This, so called, "attempt" was a small front page story that will be gone in a couple of days. The mid terms are coming. I expect more and more panicked moves between now and November.
