European phones - Choose for youself
5mon 13d ago in buyeuropean@feddit.uk from feddit.ukLet's not forget Crosscall. It's a french brand specializing in durable phones designed for outdoor.
I bought the fairphone with Murena /e/OS already installed. I can't be happier with this choice.
What insurance covers my liability if I injure someone?
5mon 16d ago in casualuk@feddit.ukThank you for your insight and for the link
My family told me over Christmas about a case in France where a person, while running, knocked over a pedestrian, causing them a disability and loss of earnings. Because the person at fault did not have personal liability insurance, they were required to compensate the injured party for their lost income over several years.
From what I’ve read, this seems to stem from a cultural difference. In France, it’s common to have this type of insurance, so people are more likely to pursue a claim.
Thank you. I think you’re right. I went through some Content insurance quotes, and at least it seems to be the case for Admiral, Lemonade, HomeProtect... I’m surprised it’s not as widely advertised as, say, legal assistance or even freezer contents cover 😅

Good question! No ink behind the piston. I'll definitely give a go to the grease.
Thank you for your message. I was not aware of this technique! It seems very straightforward, If anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7xG5535d68
Thank you, I'll give a go at the silicon grease. I should be able to find some from Ebay or something. I will report on the result!
