- An interesting cast with unique personalities, perspectives and ideals.
- Smart or otherwise competent characters. I hate idiot plots.
- Cool fights (less important, but can be the icing on top of the cake).
A movie doesn't need all four factors for me to enjoy it, but nearly every movie I've enjoyed nails at least one of them. Some examples in no particular order:

Having extremely high neuroticism/emotionality can be a pain in the ass. I actually only have high levels of anxiety according to the HEXACO personality inventory, but I still deal with mental health issues because of that. From your description it seems like you probably score high on all the facets and that sounds miserable.
What video essay did you watch recently that left an impression on you?
