9mon 11d ago in nahost@feddit.org from www.auswaertiges-amt.de

The next flagrant violation of international law. The next war of aggression. The next murder of people Israel and the US claim to be in "negotiations" with. The next proof that Israel has no intention for peace, only for the total annihilation of the Palestinian people.

Israelische Militärattacke gegen Hamas-Führung in Doha

9mon 11d ago in nahost@feddit.org from www.tagesschau.de

Ultra-processed foods are bad for men’s health, including sperm

9mon 11d ago in health@mander.xyz from news.ku.dk

I don't disagree. But wouldn't the distinction then rather be between store bought and "proper" bakers bread? E.g. you will find additives in whole flour bread from the supermarket that you won't find in "proper" white bread from a decent baker.

The terminology seems too binary.

If you consider whole flour wheat bread as unprocessed, then white bread is not "ultra"-processed.

I have no doubt that it is worse, but the difference is probably much smaller than if you compare boiled potatoes to flavored potato chips (crisps for the British)

"Protesten mit 19 Toten" -> Durch die Sicherheitskräfte getötete Protestierende

https://palestinedrinks.com/en/about-us

We are proud to present Safadfood AB, a company offering high-quality carbonated beverages, run by a Palestinian family and based in Sweden. Our drinks are more than just a refreshing treat – they represent a symbol of unity and community.

...

100% of our profits go directly to war-affected people and children in Palestine. Through our work, we aim to alleviate the suffering of those living in uncertainty and challenging conditions. Our goal is to support the most vulnerable and help build a brighter future for those hardest hit by conflict.

...

It is as good as it gets in the current situation. Israel would never allow Palestinians in the Westbank, leave alone Gaza become successful with such a brand.

France’s prime minister loses confidence vote, toppling his government

9mon 12d ago in europe@feddit.org from apnews.com

France is heavily centralized, has deep rooted corruption, favors the rich with tax exemptions and loopholes while dismantling social security and basic opportunities for the lower and middle class, believes itself to be a global power and maintains a military accordingly, but fails to secure its post-colonial resource exploitation more and more. Add to that a catastrophic strategic blunder in focusing on more nuclear power as the primary energy source, instead of developing much cheaper renewables, which will probably cost the country hundreds of billions if not trillions over the next century.

While Macron was hailed as some sort of "center alternative" to Le Pen in many media outlets outside of France, he actually is a hardcore neoliberal that set out to pillage the country in favor of the rich even more and blame it on the immigrants, further helping the Fascists gain momentum.

For reference how bad the corruption in France is. Former president Sarkozy and his crownies are currently under investigation as they have been bankrolled by the former Libyan dictator Gaddafi.

So it is basically what we see in many countries around the world right now, but the decline is more advanced. France used to be able to mask its internal economic decline with its resource exploitation.

New Banksy mural appears at Royal Courts of Justice

Let me tell you about the tale of Neoliberalism and the center "left". Our story begins in the 1980s, but it really takes of in the early 2000s. At the time a bloke named Tony was ruling the UK as prime minister and he had a fine Atze ruling Germany, whose name was Gerhard...

Together they dismantled social security, raised taxes on their people, and lowered taxes on their rich friends. They sold much of their realm to their rich friends, at a staggering discount. They said this would be best for the people and the global markets would demand, but also reward as such...
