1d 7h ago in memesThat's basically how I remember it too. He had this whole line of reasoning for why he shouldn't fear death and why nobody should be mourning him or sad about it, but I still have a hard time imaging that he was 100% convinced. By all accounts, he was, but man. Legend is right.
I read a collection of Plato's works many years ago, and this might have been part of it. I remember reading his account of Socrates' final days and death. I've always wondered if Socrates really believed what he was saying about not fearing the end.
