I started using mastodon more lately,but I still don't really know the ins and outs. Does anyone have a resource on how to use mastodon properly?

I honestly like it. Sometimes I'm listening music on my phone. And when a open my laptop, I don't want keep listening,not connect to the laptop and listen to an incoming email sound.

The good thing is that a deepseek can be run locally relatively well with consumer hardware. I trust chinese companies as much as i trust american companies with my data and my prompts.

Yeah, that sounds like just another LLM iteration. It's nice and all. Great technological innovationn. Very impressive. But is it wort investing billion upon billions of dollars? Is it worth breaking the chip market? Is it worth breaking the job market? Is it worth (possibly) causing a complete marhet crash when the bubble bursts?

Of course not. It's offline and my boss only pays for ChatGpt. I have used ChatGpt 5.4 and it's performance is fine. I have not used it for coding, but I did notice it being a bit more coherent. I am am not a poweruser though. I don't work with agents. I'm sure that makes it better, but I'm not willing ti pay for the tokens.

You're discribing something else. A plaza or a patio or whatever. A street has always been a passage from one place to another. A century ago, there was room for human social and economic activity. That was not it's purpose, it was a common side effect of free, public space. When cars came, so came the rules that banned people from those streets.
