What does this mean? There's no chamber on an A1 and no light. And why would saving a preference after power off cause increased energy draw?

Your first theory was mine as well. Although the power strip doesn't specify what the threshold is; I can set it to low/med/high. It's set to low.

For your second idea, I'll test it, but I believe it stays on indefinitely, not just for a few minutes after boot up

It's PLA. Whatever temperature the printer decided for the material and bed. It's never been a problem.

It's a cool super tack plate. Are you supposed to clean those?

It's warming up here and humidity is rising. But it's never been a problem before and as I understand humidity is more of a PETG thing, this is just PLA
