SpaceX is an infrastructure company. Deeply dependent on government good will and contracts. It leases it's data center compute to actual AI companies.

Bare metal database VM running mariadb, postgres and valkey. Haven't had any issues with needing multiple versions. Simpler to manage imaging the VM and data backups from a central place.
