there is high military value in space based compute. Centralized datacenters on earth are "easy targets". It a lot harder of low end opponents to strike a satelite, even more so if its many.

Also it makes the latency shorter to the drones on the front lines.

Imagen FPV drones, but they transmit picture strait to low earth orbit datacenter where compute happens. This keeps the ping low and the compute hardware on the drone itself cheap.

Nach einer halben dekade als bürgergeldi teile ich viele deiner Aussagen.

Jedoch zum letzten Absatz möchte ich anmerken das Arbeit ebend auch nicht glücklich macht. Klar durch arbeit hat man einen etwas größeren sicherheits puffer was das geld angeht. Ich habe mal sehr gut verdient und nun bin ich arm. Ich bin jetzt nicht unglücklicher als vorher, aber weniger gestresst.

Klar dauern gewisse dinge jetzt länger...ein neues bett kauft man nicht mal einfach so sondern man spart das halbe jahr mindestens. Dardurch wird konsum aber auch deutlich bewuster...man forscht ewig nach bevor man was kauft und als resultat kauft man weniger müll.

Konsum macht nicht glücklich, sicherheit das man seine wohnung nicht verliert nur weil man einen tipfehler beim amt gemacht hat...das macht glücklich...leider sind wir als gesellschaft noch nicht so weit.

The code on this project does look to be vibecoded tho.

But overall a neat solution to a rooftop box....just put the radio on the roof with some solar and connect to it via wifi instead of having to run a long lossy antenna wire.
