Europeans Are Quiet Quitting the United States
16d 12h ago in europe@feddit.org from carnegieendowment.orgI took it one step further and try my darndest to choose local products where possible, and if not, smaller EU businesses. Unilever, mondeles, nestlé, etc are companies I now try to actively avoid. Because once we loose the small actors we no longer have any choice left at all. Unfortunately the end game for unregulated markets always end up with monopoles. I know our EU market is regulated, but the enforcement against the actors invested in anti-compeditive behaviours are pretty toothless in my opinion.
Must say the local/small alternatives are actually in most cases better. Ritter Sport chocolate is in my opinion more tasty than marabou and better size. The local ice cream producers also have more interesting options, and Arvid Nordquist coffee taste better. What I am trying to say is that I'm not missing out quite the opposite.
Sweden Gives Ukraine 16 Gripens, Plans Sale of 22 More Jets Armed With Long-Range Missiles
20d 11h ago in europe@feddit.org from www.kyivpost.comDo you think that holds true for all conflicts? That the one attacked should not fight back because it prolongs the conflict?
I wear a Casio prefer it to "smart watches" and sometimes you want to know the time without taking out your phone. Like when driving.
DOS 3.3 Really was bare bones.
1mon 5d ago in retrocomputing@piefed.socialI also tried the CONNECT application, and that was not getting further than "_" blinking. I will try using MODE as as you said. Also the documentation is patchy, cause I'm not sure, as you again pointed out, if CTTY can even do what I'm asking of it. My next step will be to get a CF card to IDE converter card and install either, DOS 6.5(along with PROCOMM) or freeDOS or ELKS and try to reestablish connection.
Not to give out to much personal information. But that thing is either as old as me or a few years older. And it is probably in better shape than me.

1mon 5d ago in retrocomputing@lemmy.sdf.orgGood to know that DOS 5 was a sweet spot. Dell basically I want to connect it to a more feature rich and powerful terminal. Just using the 5155 as the input device.
Why?
Because it would be cool.

1mon 14d ago in typewriters@lemmy.cafeI just recieved the replacement "eraser" ribbons that were for the ETP 55 and one of the spools seemed to be turned the other way. Easy fix and the "ink ribbon-case has sligtly different design on its arms. Do however fit as far as I can tell. So definitely different machines.
