Petition to Withdraw Canada's Bill C-22

I agree the situation looks dire but it’s important people understand what’s going on.

There will be a SECU Committee meeting on C-22 later today, where the committee will be performing a clause by clause review of Bill C-22, and voting on amendments. It may be the final meeting. You can watch it live by clicking the "Watch on ParlVu" button on the meeting notice page: https://www.ourcommons.ca/DocumentViewer/en/45-1/SECU/meetin...Direct link to the upcoming live ParlVu video: https://parlvu.parl.gc.ca/Harmony/en/PowerBrowser/PowerBrows...

After bill C-22 leaves the SECU Committee, it will be sent to the House of Commons for the third reading and a final vote before being sent to the Senate.

If you are a Canadian citizen, you can also use the following tools to message your MP:

You can also email Gary Anandasangaree (gary.anand@parl.gc.ca), Marc Carney (mark.carney@parl.gc.ca), and Sean Fraser (sean.fraser@parl.gc.ca), and tell them that any weakening of encryption or suspicionless retention of metadata is unacceptable.

Hi everyone, I think it's important for all of us to stand together on this issue. The internet is a place for everyone to gather and share ideas, and to create something positive for everyone. With this new power, the government will be able to spy and feed your life into AI systems in the future. Therefore creating a sort of "thought police" of the future. This is one step of many to control the population, don't think this will end here. I will also warn people, if you can help it, never use your real name or share your political opinions online, because it can be weaponized against you in the future.

The FBI just wants the public to think their phone is secure. I got news for you, it's not secure. Look up Snowden.

I been switching everyone to Linux, specifically Mint. It's good enough now for whatever.

Dating Experience?

Yeah there are bad people, and you need to protect yourself. But I'm just pointing out what she wrote in her book. It's still unfair to treat all men like criminals when there are good people out there. I believe you can attract the right partner by treating them with a better attitude.

Thanks, I started this to get peoples perspectives. I've had much better experiences in other places, so no need to feel bad.
