Yeah technically you can but I thought most people would not notice it unless you look really hard or enlarge the picture. Most people are just scrolling by.

Sorry for the late reply. I got it as part of a Robin Hood costume a few years ago from Amazon. They are pretty good but the straps fell off ages ago and I need to add new straps so it fits properly around the shoe. It could be a tripping hazard and looks messy sometimes. Also, the cloth part around the leg falls down unless you tie it with something around your leg. You can hide that underneath the flap. There are better ones on Amazon though that actually stay supported. If you look up "medieval shoe covering" then you will find them.

Thanks for the suggestion. It would be fun to experiment with some day though I have already thought of that and did lots of research how to make my own mail shirt and coif. However, a mail shirt and coif is not that expensive. I can afford it soon. There were just a few other things I need to get sorted out first. But I will probably get it in a few weeks. Plus, I am worried that I will waist wire if I try to make it myself since I will mess it up and get it wrong the first few times. I already did that with the rest of my armour, lol. Though it was fun and interesting to learn how to make armour even if it was not real.
