Sushi pants for my 6yo!
6mon 26d ago in sewingrepairing@sh.itjust.worksI had sushi pants, but I've gained weight since then and no one has goofy print flannel like JoAnn (PBUH) did. This pic is from the last time I remade the sushi pants (time before last I gained weight), which shows the fabric wear from how much I loved those pants. Tho it's not like cheap JoAnn flannel was that high quality.

Romanticizing solarpunk
9mon 8d ago in solarpunk@slrpnk.netI don't get as much tradwife bullshit as I'm afraid of because the algo also sees my exvangelical and raging feminist and general SJW clicks. I run into it more IRL because I'm Midwestern. That little old lady in the knitting group might be cool or she might be scared of the hijabis at the grocery store, and there's often not very many clues until the right topic comes up.
What is the Future of Perennial Grains?
9mon 10d ago in solarpunk@slrpnk.net from headwatersblog.substack.comGrew up in wheat farming country, so from my armchair quarterback opinion, most of it hinges around whether kernza can get a trend like quinoa did. What would be the ROI? It helps if it can yields good quality hay, because in some dry years you can probably get more income from hay than for scanty wheat.
