FOSS Discord alternative Fluxer releases v2

Nice! I'm very tempted... I really like that it's SailfishOS. I bought an Xperia 10 III with SailfishOS and it works pretty decently. I've used the Android compatibility layer, it's pretty good.

I know it's not 100% FOSS, but maybe it's seeming like we could rally around SailfishOS for an alternative to Android and iOS.

Is the job market finally starting to recover?

Any tips on how to keep Projectivity Launcher as the default? I tried setting it up, but eventually the default launcher took over again. I haven't looked into a more permanent solution.

cannot stop using AI since it does make few things easier,

Sounds like: I cannot ask the stranger at the gym to stop lifting the weights for me since it does make things easier

my company keeps watch if someone is not using enough tokens.

So does mine. It's called tokenmaxxing, where you just use the tokens in a bullshit way. Tune your AI config to use as many tokens as possible. Prompt it, put it in a loop, toss the answers. The only way they'll be able to tell that you're not actually using AI will be when you stop turning in AI slop. (Which they won't be because they're AI brain rotted.)

On other hand I also dont want to fall behind on my task deadlines by doing things old school way

You really won't. I mean, you may at the beginning because you don't have any skills. But, once you get skills you won't fall behind and you'll actually be stronger because you'll actually understand the code and will spend less time going back and fixing problems.

I would rather you just told me, "I don't know."

Yeah, I sell stuff on eBay sometimes. I was shocked when I printed the shipping label and eBay told the customer I had shipped the product already. Like, hold up. I'm preparing to ship. I can't ship until tomorrow.

Not sure why that's the default behavior. Now I wait until the last second to print the label.

GNU Guix transactional package manager and distribution — GNU Guix

5mon 1d ago in programming@programming.dev from www.gnu.org

It seems a very nice idea, but limiting packages to FOSS makes it pretty unusable to me.

It's a common myth that you can only use FOSS with Guix.

https://gitlab.com/nonguix/nonguix

Nonguix is an additional channel that most people end up installing. It contains more software, doesn't have FOSS only restriction. It's very easy to add and integrates seamlessly with all the tooling.

So, technically yes, default guix core only allows FOSS. But, Guix as a whole allows whatever you want. Adding nonguix is quick and easy.
