you're probably right, though I'm glad to see a new, genuinely gaming-focused display technology. not keen on vendor lock-in but maybe it'll prompt a competing (hopefully VESA aligned) standard

it's not as convenient but there are several client apps using the wormhole protocol. They generally require devices to be on the same network but you can tether outside of that scenario.

It would, I think the point made by rpcs3 dev is that recent bring-up for that generation's R600 driver has effectively unblocked it for use in such cases

RPCS3 now running on an ATI HD 4890 too using the R600 mesa driver. Last minimum requirements test was on an HD 5850
