I think the proposition of avoiding American tech in general will become more and more attractive in the coming years. Governments are already trying to move away from Microsoft for national security reasons. That'll have the knock-on effect of putting Linux and Libra Office in front of more people at work and school.

In combination with the advances in Linux gaming, This may be the first time since the 80s where the OS you're first exposed to will be anything other than Windows or Mac.

Freeman said the findings, published in Lancet Psychiatry, were “encouraging” for policymakers who were considering decriminalising cannabis or strictly regulating the drug in legal markets. The impact of an open market, where the drug is sold in a similar way to alcohol and tobacco, was very different, however.

This is an article about how capitalism ruins everything.

Giving Iran a good deal was Trump's only option to end this and I am very glad he chose to do that.

Kennedy chose to escalate in Vietnam. Ditto Jonson and Nixon. Bush stared the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, then chose to do a "surge" in Iraq. Obama had a "surge" in Afghanistan if you remember.

The counter factual is not US got a good deal, but US started a catastrophic escalation that leads to tens or hundreds of thousands of deaths before the US agrees to a bad deal.

Obviously, attacking Iran in the first place was a blunder, but after that, TACO was the best deal America was ever going to get.

I'm pretty sure I heard Killer Mike at the end. El P is missing tho.

Ima trust the million dollar legal team over what'd make a good movie.

You know how to use Windows, not computers.

I've been off Microslop for over a year. I've barely logged in, mostly to do updates. But I understand Windows better now than I did when I left. That's because Windows will teach you how to use Windows, while Linux will teach you how to use computers.

That comment about the terminal is funny, because powershell is one of the best things about Windows 10/11. And a real Windows user would know that.

That's not true. Linux users do this waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than Microslop users. Microslop has billions of users, but fewer than 20 fanboys, worldwide.

This story isn't about mental illness. This story is about a black immigrant who was sexually violent.

The offense people take over sexual violence has more to do with the status of the victim and attacker than it does with the act it'self. Rape is barely even illegal so long as you choose your victim wisely.

My mom has one of those. It drives her up the wall.

What the hell are we waiting for?
