A couple of years ago we moved out of our first apartment in Amsterdam to a new apartment and we did it entirely by bike. Fortunately we didn't have to move any furniture since we were moving from a furnished apartment. Still, it was a lot. Here are some of the pictures. I don't remember how many trips, but they all looked like some variation of these.

Towards the end there was quite a bit of rain and wind. It was basically like cycling in the shower. There were all kinds of fun things, like the storage door getting stuck and locking me in. I wouldn't want to do it again.... but I also never want to move again. It was a worth while challenge. I took a lot of these pictures (and a bunch of video) with the intention of making a video of the whole thing at some point. It's still on my list, but I figure I'd share this for now to get this community started.

It is possible. It's not easy, or necessarily very enjoyable, but definitely possible... and I think it could be made easier. A bike could be designed specifically for moving stuff, with a more powerful motor. But this was an interesting experiment, none the less.
