This community is for requesting and sharing specific articles available in various databases.

We’re unaffiliated to r/Scholar, although we have the same goal. This community was created due to the dislike of what reddit has become.

/c/Scholar Rules

1. A valid DOI/ISBN/PMID is required.

2. A valid URL is required.

3. No misuse of /c/Scholar's services.
   This community is maintained by volunteers who go out of their way to help provide material. Please respect their time and assistance. If you make a request, please do not abandon it.

4. No requests to help find sources for research.

5. No requests for things easily obtainable elsewhere
   eg: books available on LibGen, articles already on SciHub, etc.

6. No digital piracy.
   Requesting financial compensation can be considered digital piracy in some cases. This includes selling or distribution of any material provided to you from /c/Scholar. If we find cases of digital piracy, it will be removed regardless of the intent.
   Note: Requests or offers of financial compensation through PMs or chats are beyond our scope of moderation and should be dutifully denied.

Chances are high that what you're looking for is already available! Looking for an article? Search Libgen for its DOI, PMID or title, or Sci-Hub for its DOI, PMID or URL. Looking for a book? Search Libgen or BookZZ for its ISBN or title. More info on Libgen and Sci-Hub can be found here.

Be sure to include all needed info in your request: full citation; DOI, PMID or ISSN if you ask for article, DOI or ISBN if you ask for book/chapter; link to paywall or link to PubMed or WorldCat record.

Use Crossref for metadata search; use doi.org to resolve a DOI name.

Flair your post as Found once it's found!

If your request isn't urgent, please try an interlibrary loan (ILL) instead. ILL avoids potential copyright issues and lets libraries know which subscriptions are useful.
