Weekly Training Log – May 5, 2025

Tactical Barbell Zulu/HT W1D1

  • Behind the neck press 4 x 5 95lbs
  • Zercher squat 3 x 10 190lbs
  • Pull up 3 x 12 210lbs bw
  • Dumbell row 3 x 12 45lbs
  • Hanging leg raises 3 x 12

This is the first week of a new routine for me. I decided the spring cut is cancelled and the spring bulk is on. The 10 rep squats were a bit of a struggle for me and I was pretty gassed out for the remainder of the workout, I think due to poor sleep last night? Will see how it goes for the rest of the week.

Tactical Barbell Zulu/HT W1D2

  • Deadlift 4 x 5 265lbs
  • Bench press 3 x 10 165lbs
  • Dip 3 x 12 210lbs bw
  • Dumbbell curl 3 x 12 35lbs
  • Back extension 3 x 12 25lbs

Initially I had planned to do more pull ups but I was still feeling a bit toasted from yesterday, so I swapped in some curls. I think I'll leave them in for the duration of the program, as I've never done curls in 2.5 years of lifting!

Tactical Barbell Zulu/HT W1D3

  • Zercher squat 4 x 5 225lbs
  • Behind the neck press 4 x 10 85lbs
  • Pull up 3 x 12 210lbs bw
  • Dumbell row 3 x 12 45lbs
  • Hanging leg raises 3 x 12

Much prefer the 5 rep squats vs the 10 reps

Tactical Barbell Zulu/HT W1D4

  • Bench press 4 x 5 190lbs
  • Deadlift 3 x 10 230lbs
  • Dip 3 x 12 210lbs bw
  • Dumbbell curl 3 x 12 35lbs
  • Back extension 3 x 12 25lbs

That was my first week of this program, it feels like a pretty good amount of volume and enjoying it so far

Upper body today, I didn't track my sets, but I'll start to take notes.

  • Inclined shoulder press with dumbbells
  • sandbag rows
  • pull downs
  • bicep curls
  • sandbag swings
