Is graveyard dates for real or just a joke?

My friends think that goths going graveyards for dates are some kind of inside joke but i personally would take my girl (if i even find one) to graveyard date at some point. What do you think?

We used to go on graveyard dates way back when I was in high school (late 90s-early 2000s) and the girl I'm currently dating wants to go on a graveyard date this fall.

There's still some of us out there keeping the tradition alive.
