What if this community had a sticky that rotated every month? It would show which bugs, which fish, and which sea creatures are available. The list on top would show northern hemisphere. The list on bottom would show southern hemisphere.
And it only shows creatures available for the current month. It's the type of thing you could make 12 text files, and once it's done, you'd just need a bot that auto creates a new post on the 1st, and deletes the old post.
I've got to be honest this was something I was looking into for the Crossing Corner account at some point, although I was thinking of things that have come into season originally but your idea realistically sounds better.
I have no idea how to get a bot to do it though, I rely on manually scheduled posts.
Working on a concept for it, I'm thinking of colour coding the backgrounds to indicate fish/bugs/creatures that have come into season at start of month/leaving season at end of month

Have you tried using nl.catalogue.ac website. Try using that kind of concept
Wasn't even aware of that site, looks incredibly cool. Not quite sure what you're referring to "that kind of concept" though unfortunately 😭
