Weekly Incremental Check-in

The Mbin portion of the site is back up again, but the bot doesn't seem to be. It's been a month since the last post; there's probably going to be a lot to catch up on. Same guidelines as last time, with emphasis on the last one - have fun!

This time I've played.. um.. Yollen which is a simple melvor inventory management game that asks you to reach level 99, the Last good boy which is the same thing except with resource requirements instead of leveling ones, Challenging land which is the same but with no inventory. Also liked BrainWaves Can't really explain what's going on in incrementaldb council, need to think about it less. It has one word reasons you choose by default to deny something, and using them works best, but I like to always say something. I started calling ai games procedural generation. Have been considering the game concept of staying on one idea each increment, ie the effect of choosing something. It could be similar to an escape game, keeping one code in mind to compare against what you see in the room for some time. I say that cause then considering a metroidvania, you could be trapped in one challenge for some time to active idle for an idea of how to do it, and even if you can't you then have to active idle using it to afford another idea, platformers being all about testing ideas. Plainly have tried to extend the answer to what is incremental balance. Ideally each idea you pick is something or a stepping stone to something the dev is intentionally trying to show you rather than just your own work, which is just the kind of interpretating the value of game balance that leaves me confused. Have also been trying various tmt and long non idle/checkback prediction games but haven't quite had the headspace to complete
