What are these torrent connections?

When seeding a file. Let's say a movie, and all I see are a lot of connections where others try to download that movie. However, they remain at 0% and never download anything.
Almost feels like its something watching, logging connections to everyone connected to that torrent. Just a theory.. No idea. (Privacy conscious)
Maybe someone can shed some light?
It might be something like your router or a VPN not allowing port forwarding, so although they can technically connect, they can't actually download anything from you.
I use mullvad vpn which doesnt allow port forwarding and I see the same (or something similar). I really need to set up a different vpn for torrenting so I stop being a massive leech.
I use MullvadVPN too, done it for Many years.
Feels odd that uta because of port forwarding. Because then none would be able to download anything from me seeding.
For me, SOME are able to download form me. The ones with a client. Then the ones without a client, they simply remain at 0% and disappear, maybe reappear sometimes too
Hmm strange. Maybe you should ask/crosspost this to a privacy community (if you haven't already), seeing as you are asking about this from a privacy perspective.
