Tips for casual players?

4mon 11d ago by crazypeople.online/u/radiouser in arc_raiders@jlai.lu

I love Arc Raiders; I'm having a blast running around and exploring, dealing with Arc and getting occasionally murdered but I haven't much to show for it.

Any tips for good blueprint spots? Things you wish you knew sooner? Comment anytime with anything relevant (please) because I'll never figure it out by myself lol.

Night raids solo. They're a hoot with ARC and PvE is friendly, so it balances out.

This, I waited too long to start doing them. Also save keys for night raids, they are wasted otherwise. Blueprint farming is all about maximizing containers opened per minute, open everything and move quick

Also there are specific locations that drop certain types of blueprints more, the breach room in reinforced reception being for augments. I loaded into bluegate probably 1-2 hundred times with just stims to run straight there, loot the room and the medical room near it. If you get a blueprint drop it in your safe pocket and surrender, if nothing surrender and go again asap. I got to the point where if I found some other good stuff I would extract straight away, but surrendering is the fastest to farm. You also get really good a dodging arc since you have no weapon 🤣. I would find an augment every 2-3 runs. I eventually found survivor in the medical room and stopped doing it all together.

Keys during Night Raids are a great way to get blue prints and pink weapons.

I'll reply to my comment with tips that I can think of

The loot table has weird calculations behind it, but basically you want to hit spots where there are several containers of the same type, you'll get a higher change of better loot

The red / yellow zones don't mean better loot, but higher loot containers density

In-round crafting is a very good perk (red skill tree), you can make shield rechargers from arc power cells with some rubber parts, bandages out of fabric, etc

I think in round crafting is only great for free kits, otherwise I never use it. I hardly ever have room for the base materials anyway. You can use the power cells on their own for half the charge

That’s kind of the opposite of how I play. I always keep a stack of rubber/plastic/chems to do the in round crafting and drop them once I’m ready to exfil

Once I upgraded scrappy I had to start selling stacks to make room. I've not brought back basic supplies in many hours of playing now

Security breach has been great for me. After expedition I'll respec as soon as I have enough points to clear it. I've found tons of tempest using it. More than I've been able to lose in friendly lobbies so not having the BP hasn't been a problem. Its a little harder since the last update, they seem to have randomized the locations a bit more but relearning the locations its getting more consistent again.

If you don’t have an active quest or objective, mark the longest or most convenient extract point. If you get downed, you can’t pull up the map. This mostly applies to the survivor augment because it stops bleed out and lets you regenerate health if you stop crawling, you won’t make it to the exfil if you get downed outside it without the survivor augment

My go to strat for blueprints is going with just a ferro 1 in stella Montis and rushing to Medical Research and Lobby.

If you spawn at the beginning of the raid (29mn remaining) and close to lobby. Run as fast as possible to the security checkpoint in the middle. There loot everything you can. It's probably the best spot to get blueprints.

If you spawn near Medical research that's a very good spot to get blueprints and also very valuable loot.

If you get anything cool, safe pocket and all you get on top of that and manage to extract is just a bonus :)

If you really want to go full tryhard you can just do these stella Montis raid but with nothing at all in your loadout. If you dont spawn at the beginning of the raid, you just capitulate and start a new raid immediately.

No risk, but cool rewards through safe pocketing.

I found 70% of all blueprints just in stella Montis by doing these "naked man runs" :)
